The Malcolm Hayes Award for Artists
This award targets high school seniors from
urban communities whose primary focus is in the arts.
Malcolm Hayes was a major contributor to
The David and Dovetta Wilson Scholarship Fund.
Believing in investing in tomorrow’s youth,
Mr. Hayes artwork was on display and
available for our silent auctions and raffle prizes.
Upon his passing on October 14, 2007, his life partner,
Rosalind Bush,
donated Mr. Hayes’ works of art
to DDWSF and established
The Malcolm Hayes Award for Artists.
This award targets high school seniors from urban communities
whose primary focus is in the arts. Specific consideration
will be given
to those students who come from
the Harlem community where Mr. Hayes resided.
Isaiah M. Taylor of Mableton, GA is the 2017 recipient.
